Verily Verily video (22 min), plasticine. 2004.

Verily Verily

This video consists of two views of the same event shot in real time. My hands enter both frames from above and model plasticine on a flat surface. Their movements are simultaneous, but the discrepancy between the camera angles sometimes obscures this fact. When making the video, I was looking at both cameras' screens to guide my actions, creating forms that would satisfy the requirements of both viewpoints. By the end of the video, the left (green) screen contains a silhouette of the word 'VERILY' while the one on the right contains the negative space around the same word.
